City Creek

I use this expression probably WAY more than I should..

I went shopping yesterday at City Creek.

I'm surprised my card isn't melted from all of the sliding.

It's all in the name of school though, right?

So far I'm up to:
1 headband
1 scarf
1 "school bag" (I don't do backpacks..)
4 pairs of earrings
6 necklaces
15 rings
7 shirts
2 cardigans
2 pairs of pants
and 2 pairs of shoes.

And I'm not even done yet. I have so much more to buy! I'll be posting more when I'm officially finished. :)

City Creek

I also went to a drive in movie last night. Snuck in to a drive in movie to be exact. It wasn't to be rebellious, or because or we couldn't pay for it. It was simply to say that we could. How many of you can say you have successfully snuck into one of the last drive in movies around? That's what I thought.

The movie we saw was Ice Age 4. Which makes the whole experience 100x better. I mean, who sneaks into a drive in theater to see a child's movie!?

We do. Duh. :)

Sorry for the inappropriateness... Paige. Gotta love her. :)

Well that's all for now!

Other than this; my current song?

"Trouble" by Chris Rene

Oh man. <3

You're welcome. ;)

XOXO,
Halli

This Is How I Spend My Weekends -- Mount Timpanogos

Yesterday, I hiked up Mount Timpanogos. Talk about a long hike! Here is a couple facts for those of you who don't know:

Elevation: 11,749 feet
It is the second highest summit in Utah
It is about a 15 mile hike
We did it in about 9 and a half hours round trip

It hurts to move today, but the trip was definitely worth it. It is such a beautiful hike! Plus, it makes you feel pretty accomplished once you reach the summit. And the bottom. :)

I could continue typing, but it really doesn't do it justice.
Seeing as me and my dad are super big photographers, I'll just show you!

That little, tiny white building on the top of that? That would be the shack on the summit.

Almost to the top!

Such an amazing view!
Family tradition to take a picture here :)

This is my accomplished look. (We were almost there!)

My dad

Signing my name in the book at the summit. Such an accomplished feeling right then.

At the shack on the summit

Chucking up the deuces.

"Hey Halli! Go stand on that edge as far as you dare!"

At the summit

The view off of the back of the mountain. So gorgeous!

"Watch 'Face' "

Me and my dad at the summit

Snow... In July. Oh yes.

I was tying my shoe and I look up to see my Dad snapping pictures of me?

Easily my favorite picture that we took. It was so beautiful!

Obviously he had the camera a little more than I did...

It was such an awesome experience! Every time I look at the mountain I think, "Wow, I climbed that..." Then, I start getting a super big head. It happens to the best of us right?

Fashion wise, wear comfortable clothes and good shoes? :)

Not much to say about this one, but it was fun!

XOXO,
Halli

My Morning

I'm coaching my cheer team again this morning! Choreography camp baby! My outfit of choice? A maroon cheer t-shirt and black spankies with metallic gold zebra stripes. Make a statement anywhere you go. Go bold or go home right?

My girls!

On The Go

Today was a perfect example of an on the go, active day. I went from a slow morning, to coaching my cheer squad, to lunch, to a hair appointment, to home, made some Mac n' Cheese, watched some basic television, and then went swimming with some friends! But no swimming for me because of the previously mentioned hair appointment. :)

Due to my craziness today, I went with a very casual, summer bum look. Although this look is very relaxed, it is still very fun and very chic.

Baby blue romper; Forever 21, Over-sized plaid button up; also Forever 21

Due to the hassle, I skipped the jewelry and went straight to the larger accessories.
Brown sunglasses; Target
My most recent purchase. :)

I finished off the look with my "jesus" sandals; Shoe Carnival(?)

This look was super simple, but the plaid pattern and the bold, blue colors made the look stand out, without looking overly busy.

Tip: Go for bold patterns and bright colors when looking for simple on-the-go looks.

XOXO,
Halli

Well Hello!

I've always loved fashion. I've gone from wanting to be a fashion designer, to fashion model, to fashion stylist, to fashion buyer ever since I was little. And who knows! Maybe I'll be a fashion blogger. For now, I'm just going to blog because I want to share my love of fashion.

The number one way we express ourselves is through the clothing we wear.

Whether it be punk:

Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2012 collection at Fashion Week in Paris

Preppy:

Missoni Pre-Fall 2012 Collection

Or trendy chic:

Michael Kors Fall 2012 Fashion Show
We all participate in the world of fashion. It is a part of life. It is an art. It is a passion. I want to share my love and opinion, as well as the modern world's opinion of fashion through this blog. We all deserve to be heard (or read in this case), so this is me speaking up and getting involved in the wonderful world of fashion. So, listen up and stay tuned to watch me rise to fame or miserably fail. Either way, I'll just enjoy myself.

XOXO,
Halli
